Comments:
The minimum spec has finally improved from the puny PII450 that until recently was seen as the benchmark of adequacy. With the recent crashing prices of both PIII's and Athlons [hell, lets even add P4's to that] many gamers can suddenly fork out a medium amount of cash and acquire a massively fast chip. Todays clocking possibilities expand the envelope even more. The upcoming Athlon 4 will be a scorcher, while the P4 is closing in on the 2Ghz boundary.
Thankfully, the designers have admitted to themselves [and to us], that a 16meg graphics card is a necessity if you wanna see anything. Throughout the game's existence, I'm sure that the card spec will shoot towards the 256Meg/8 chip setup.
In terms of the HDD space, I am assuming that it is a 'minimum' option where everything of value remains on the CD [but then... you need a better CD ROm... he he]
In terms of sound, AvP [the original] is trully awesome with EAX, so the sequel must have higher standards.. which means a BETTER soundcard for trullymind-blowing effects... 5.1 anyone??
